So.. My ex is a musician. And he is releasing his new cd soon. I can’t go to the release show because I have finals the week after and I just can’t make the trip back. And also, even if I could go, I wouldn’t have anyone to go with because he was a big d-bag to me and none of my friends like him. So.. I asked him if we could get lunch once the semester was over. He told me that we can’t because it is disrespectful to his new girlfriend and wouldn’t want her going to lunch with someone she used to see. I assured him that it would be strictly platonic and would just be my way of getting the cd. I even suggested that she come, because I was that certain that it wouldn’t be any threatening sort of meeting. My question is, Am I out of line for asking him to do this? I don’t think that it is an issue at all, and if it is, then there must be some serious trust issues in their relationship. Am I wrong?
